The FabFest Story & Tosco Music

How It All Began

It all began with a man and his guitar In his living room...

John Tosco has loved the Beatles since he was 5 years old and saw them on The Ed Sullivan Show.
He used to play “She Loves You” on a cardboard guitar in a friend’s basement, lip-synching and strumming the air.
For 30 years, John has been showcasing local Charlotte area (and beyond) musicians and bands in what has becoming lovingly known as Tosco Music Parties (TMP). Each year, one of the most beloved and well attended TMPs was the Beatles Tribute Tosco Music Party which in 2019 grew into more than just a party but a festival celebrating all things Beatles.
Although the venues have evolved as the festival grew, this year we are celebrating our 4th annual FabFest: Charlotte Beatles Festival and the largest Beatles event in the Southeast!
From the best Beatles Tribute bands in the country to local Charlotte area musicians and bands re-imaging the music of the Fab Four, from artists creating tributes to the work and legacy of the Beatles to fully immersive family-friendly experiences like an open mic, cover song contest, family fun experience, live shows and memorabilia, FabFest has grown to become a chock-full weekend of Beatles music, history, art and community building.

TOSCO MUSIC is the non-profit behind the magic of FabFest.
We're about cultivating music of all genres,
musicians of all ages
and community from all backgrounds…
one song at a time!
